Anywhere YL establishes farms, they strive to help build and improve the community of locals in the area. This is one of the best things about YL. This Foundation was started in Ecuador by D. Gary Young when he realized the lack of schooling and resources for the community’s children and young adults. He then put his money and efforts where his heart led him and built a school that is now thriving and growing the community.

We’ve heard about the problems that surround human trafficking. Around the world, millions of children are trafficked stripping them from the freedoms of everyday life. The Young Living Foundation this year wanted to take part in supporting the cause to end human trafficking. The Foundation strives to support and fund initiatives to help spot signs of trafficking before it starts, funding to prosecute perpetrators, helping to restore lives, etc.

This collection was designed by a trafficking survivor who went through the Hope for Justice Stepping Stones Program (supported by YL). The stacking bracelets were handcrafted with clay and ensigo beads by artisans of the Mabira Collective. This group of women survived genocide in the mid-1990s and have collectively come together in a community to help rebuild their lives. Because of this wonderful organization, women are able to receive literacy classes, fair wage income opportunities, access to proper medical care and nutrition, and have the opportunity to become economically independent to give their families stability and support. For some of these women, it would be the very first time receiving that.
