THE HAVEN FARMSTEAD

The Haven Farmstead was started on raw land in the fall of 2022 with these guiding principles; to be a “Haven” for others when needed and to provide food grown and raised with sustainable farming practices. Ben and Janelle traded a beef cattle ranch in Western North Dakota for a homestead in middle Tennessee.
The Haven Farmstead has committed to raising quality meat options, raw milk, and eggs for themselves and others while improving soil quality. The Andersons invite you to the Haven Farmstead to view their animal-raising practices and share the lifestyle they love.
Pasture-Raised Chicken
Our farmstead stewards all of our livestock well. In fact, it is a core tenant for us. Our chickens are raised on our living pastures, moving them up to two times a day, allowing them to consume as much fresh grass and bugs as they desire. The chickens raised on our farm are free to move about and enjoy the sun as God intended.
RAISED ON A NON-GMO WHOLE GRAIN FEED
Our farm has committed to raising chickens on whole grain non-GMO feed, grown and milled by a local family farm in Middle Tennessee. We take what and how we feed our pasture-raised chicken flock seriously. In addition to offering a locally sourced non-GMO whole grain, the grains soak for 12 hours, increasing the nutritional value.

THE PACKAGE OPTIONS
In early 2024, we decided to offer bulk, whole bird options. Each customer would choose the best package for their families needs and then receive a spring order and a fall order. Instead of paying by the pound, they paid per bird and were guaranteed each bird would be at least 4.5 pounds. To be completely transparent, most birds weighed 5.5 pounds PLUS.
The Haven Bundle - 20 Birds Total
- 10 Whole Birds in the Spring (late May-Early June)
- 10 Whole Birds in the Fall (mid October-Early November)
The Ultimate Bundle - 40 Birds Total
- 20 Whole Birds in the Spring (late May-Early June)

PICK - UP LOCATIONS AND TIMES
For 2025, we are shifting things BACK TO THE FARM. We want to share with you where your food is coming from & for you to meet the whole family. This means pickup will be at the farm in 2025 with a hands on Farm Experience. Stay Tuned!
