PASTURE RAISED TURKEYS
The crowning glory of a holiday table setting is none other than a beautifully roasted turkey. Our turkeys have been handled, cared for, and given the best attention the moment they arrived on the farm as three-day-old turkey poults.

What is the difference between a farm/homestead-raised turkey and one from a supermarket chain? Outstanding animal husbandry from incredible stewards to the land.

Meet your Farmers

Acorn Creek Farmstead is blessed to have the opportunity to partner with three great homesteads to provide you with a 2023 pasture-raised turkey for your holiday supper. We guarantee that the bird you receive to feed your family is just as important as the turkey on our table.

Acorn Creek Farmstead

Justin and Ann Scott
The journey to establish a farm that would feed us has morphed into providing those within our community with food and knowledge. Acorn Creek Farmstead is a place of refuge for those in need and offers clean meat options, pasture-raised eggs, raw milk, home-canned goods, and fermented foods. The farm also allows others to raise their meat rabbits, feeder pigs, poultry for laying and meat, and registered Nigerian goats. Here on the farm, we practice simple living with traditional values while striving to achieve food freedom.

The Haven Homestead

Benjamin and Janelle Anderson
The Haven Homestead was started on raw land in the fall of 2022 with these guiding principles; to be a “Haven” for others when needed and to provide food grown and raised with sustainable farming practices. Ben and Jennelle traded a beef cattle ranch in Western North Dakota for a homestead in middle Tennessee. The Haven Homestead has committed to raising quality meat options, raw milk, and eggs for themselves and others while improving soil quality.  Andersons invite you to the Haven Homestead to view their animal-raising practices and share the lifestyle they love.

The Heis Homestead

Lance and Nakeisha Thrash
One time city desert dwellers from Arizona to mid-southerners in Middle Tennessee, we followed the Lord in what He called us to do. In this journey, we seek to create a more wholesome life for our sons while teaching them the importance of growing their food and raising their meat. Our goal is to be fruitful not only in what we sow into the ground but also through the livestock we raise, both for ourselves and others. We honor the generations that came before us by raising goats for milk, rabbits for meat and compost, pasture-raised poultry for meat and eggs, and maintaining a garden that will feed us throughout the year.

Pasture-raised Turkeys

Each homestead practices good livestock husbandry and a solid pasture rotation schedule. For these reasons, our turkeys are raised on pasture, allowing them to consume as much fresh grass and bugs as they desire. The chickens raised on our farms are free to move about and enjoy the sun as God intended.

Raised on a nonGMO Whole Grain Feed

All four farms have committed to raising turkeys on whole grain non-GMO feed, grown and milled by a local family farm in Middle Tennessee. We take what and how we feed our turkey flock seriously. In addition to offering locally sourced non-GMO whole grain, the participating farms soak the grains for 12 hours, increasing the nutritional value of the grains.
